Charlie Purdon is an accomplished rugby professional with extensive coaching experience, currently serving as the Legion Community Foundation Lead Coach for the San Diego Legion since July 2022, and as the Head Rugby Coach at the University of San Diego since September 2019. As co-founder and director of PERRY BAKER RUGBY CAMPS, Charlie facilitates skill development for aspiring rugby players. Additionally, Charlie authored the "Rugby Simplified" book series aimed at beginner coaches, players, and parents. Previous coaching roles include U-18 Head Coach for the LA Giltinis and Head Rugby Coach at Cathedral Catholic High School. Charlie also has a professional athlete background from PRO RUGBY and has held the position of Head of Region at Rhinos Rugby Academy. Charlie's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Business, management from Nelson Mandela University, and a Financial Management certificate from the University of Cape Town.
