Erika Ulring is an accomplished marketing and communications professional currently serving as the Associate Director at The San Diego Museum of Art since March 2020, where responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance public engagement with the Museum’s mission. Previously, Erika held the position of Blog Manager and Social Content Writer at IBM from February 2014 to March 2020, focusing on thought leadership across digital platforms. As Vice President at FleishmanHillard from December 2008 to January 2014, Erika specialized in media relations and corporate reputation management. Additional experience includes roles at the California Center for the Arts as Assistant Director of Communications and earlier positions in media relations and public relations volunteer work. Erika holds an AB in Government & Law from Lafayette College, a Certificate in Copyediting from UC San Diego, and is pursuing a Master of Library & Information Science at San Jose State University.
