Teresa Acosta is an experienced council member for the City of Carlsbad, having been elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2024 to represent District 4. Teresa serves as President of Acosta + Partners, specializing in advocacy, business development, and local government relations since 2011. In addition to these roles, Teresa is a member of the Board of Directors for the San Diego County Water Authority and the League of California Cities, holding various leadership positions. As a consultant to the South Coast Air Quality Management District, Teresa focuses on improving air quality policies in Southern California. Previous positions include Vice President at Madaffer Enterprises, Inc., Associate Faculty at MiraCosta College, and management roles at Bluebeam, Inc., and the California State Senate.
