Valerie Airey

Valerie Airey is an accomplished construction management professional currently serving as Principal Construction Manager at the San Diego County Water Authority since January 2024. Previously, Valerie held positions including Municipal Projects Manager at the City of Carlsbad from June 2017 to January 2024, Management Analyst in the Engineering Department at the City of Vista from September 2014 to June 2017, and Assistant Project Manager at C.W. Driver from September 2012 to September 2014. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Construction & Capital Planning at the University of La Verne and Project Engineer at Bernards. Valerie earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from San Diego State University in 2018 and completed an undergraduate degree at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona between 2002 and 2005.
