Deirdre Shannon

Deirdre Shannon began their work experience in 2003 as a Spanish Teacher at SDUHSD. Deirdre worked in this role until 2009 when they joined Deirdre Shannon, SPANISH TUTOR as a Certified Spanish Tutor. In 2015, they returned to SDUHSD as a Spanish Teacher and continues to hold this position.

Deirdre Shannon has a strong educational background in Spanish Language and Literature. In 1994-1995, they studied at Instituto Cultural Oaxaca in Oaxaca, Mexico, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature. From 1995-1996, they further pursued their studies in the same field at Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. In 1999-2000, Deirdre enrolled in Universidad International UNINTER in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature. In 2004, they briefly attended Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, but did not obtain a degree. Additionally, in 2002, Deirdre completed a Clear Single Subject Teaching Credential with CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing, specializing in Spanish language subjects. Deirdre also pursued Spanish Language Teacher Education at California State University San Marcos but the specific dates of the program were not provided.
