Sara Gillette

Sara Gillette has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Sara began their career as a Camp Counselor at Riverway Ranch Camp in 2004 and continued in this role until 2007. In 2007, they joined Mission Bay Aquatic Center as a Camp Counselor and later became a Kayaking Instructor from 2008 until 2009. Sara then transitioned to La Costa Canyon High School as a Special Education Teacher from 2009 until 2016. During this time, they were also a Trip Leader for Global Works Teen Travel in Costa Rica and Fiji starting in 2008. Most recently, Sara has been working as a Physical Education Teacher at the San Dieguito Union High School District since 2016.

Sara Gillette completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies/ Bilingual Education at California State University, Chico from 2003 to 2007. Sara then pursued Teaching Credentials with a focus on BCLAD Spanish Multiple Subjects/ Special Education at San Diego State University, from 2007 to 2009. Following this, Sara went on to earn a Masters degree in Education, specializing in Special Education, from California State University San Marcos, between 2011 and 2013.
