Brian Ragas

Director, Black Health at San Francisco AIDS Foundation

Brian Ragas has a diverse range of work experience. Brian most recently served as the Director of Black Health at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, where they were responsible for developing and implementing Black Health programming. Brian also managed relationships with subcontracting agencies and oversaw the implementation of program services. Prior to that, they worked as a Public Relations Officer at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, where they developed and carried out policies and procedures for a public relations program. Brian also worked as a Producer at Hunuvat Global, coordinating production and researching and pitching stories on global health and human rights. Additionally, Brian has experience as a Communications Manager at the San Francisco Community Health Center and as an Outreach and Linkage Manager at the East Bay Aids Ctr - CRUSH Project. Brian began their career as a Salesperson at Apple.

Brian Ragas has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Asian-American Studies from San Francisco State University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Brian then pursued a Post Graduate Degree in Ethnic Studies from the same university, completing it from 2010 to 2012. In 2019, Brian enrolled at Stellenbosch University, where they earned a Post Graduate Degree (PGDip) in HIV/AIDS Management from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Brian is attending the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Global Health Policy, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
