Alexander Irwin

Digital Content Producer at San Francisco Ballet

Alexander Irwin is a skilled video producer with extensive experience in the film and dance sectors. Currently serving as a Video Producer for San Francisco Ballet since September 2021, Alexander previously worked as a Videographer for Rapt Productions, specializing in dance productions across the Bay Area. Other roles have included Associate Producer at KQED, where video and graphic assets were created for documentary series, and Tech Manager for the San Francisco Dance Film Festival. As a Documentary Director for the Veteran Documentary Corps, Alexander directed significant films, including "Remembering Port Chicago." An educator as well, Alexander has taught filmmaking and animation courses at institutions such as San Francisco State University and BAYCAT. Alexander holds an MFA in Film from San Francisco State University and a BA in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Sarah Lawrence College.
