Priscilla Portillo has diverse work experience in the fields of law enforcement, social work, education, and youth development. Starting in 2010, they worked as an After School Activity Leader, where they helped students with homework, organized recreational activities, and built relationships with students and their families. Priscilla then interned at Monroe Clark Middle School in 2011 before becoming a Special Education Instructional Aide at the San Francisco Unified School District from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2016, Priscilla worked at the Edgewood Center for Children and Families in various roles, including Bilingual Case Manager and Senior Case Manager. In 2016, they joined the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, starting as a Victim Witness Advocate and progressing to roles such as Team Lead for Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse and Supervisor for Domestic Violence and CASA. Currently, Priscilla serves as the Deputy Director of Vulnerable Victims & Community Engagement at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office.

Priscilla Portillo began their education journey in 2007, attending San Diego State University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology in 2011. Priscilla later pursued further studies and enrolled at San Francisco State University in 2021, where they are currently working towards a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, which they expect to complete in 2024.

Aside from their formal education, Priscilla has also obtained additional certifications. In 2018, they completed the Grief and Recovery Method Training at The Grief Recovery Institute. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Domestic Violence Prevention from La Casa de las Madres and is also a member of the NOVA Crisis Response Team, certified by National Organization for Victim Assistance NOVA.
