Anna Langs has a diverse range of experience in risk management and investment. Starting in 1998 as a Financial Engineer at The D. E. Shaw Group, they went on to work at Merrill Lynch as a Vice President in the Intelligent Technology Group. Anna then joined Western Asset Management as a Manager of Risk and Analytics Technology. Anna held the position of Chief Risk Officer at both First Quadrant and Fortress Investment Group. Anna then served as the Chief Risk Officer at AXA Investment Managers before becoming Head of Investment Risk at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Prior to their current position, Anna was the Managing Partner at iBusinessPartners. Anna is currently the Managing Director of San Francisco Employees' Retirement System (SFERS).

Anna Langs has a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Anna also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics and another Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, they have certifications in the INSEAD Executive Management Program, obtained in 2013, and the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certifications, obtained in 2005 and 2001 respectively.
