Carlos Medina

Carlos Medina is a Retirement Analyst at the San Francisco Employees' Retirement System, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this, Carlos served as a Legal Administrative Specialist at the Social Security Administration from December 2018 to January 2023, where responsibilities included making final determinations on Social Security benefit entitlements and engaging directly with the public to resolve issues. Carlos also gained experience as a Pathways Student Intern at the General Services Administration from June 2016 to May 2018, participating in an Administration and Management training program. Earlier in career development, Carlos worked as a Primary Language Assistant at Lincoln Unified School District from August 2014 to June 2015, supporting teachers in enhancing students' reading and writing fluency. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, completed between 2015 and 2018.
