Anhvu Buchanan

Anhvu Buchanan is an experienced educator and writer with a diverse background in teaching and curriculum development. Currently serving as Lead Teacher at San Francisco Friends School since August 2017, Anhvu has previously held roles as Co Teacher and Teaching Assistant at The Berkeley School and San Francisco Friends School, respectively. Anhvu has also contributed as a Teaching Artist at WritersCorps, where innovative curricula led to significant improvements in student communication skills. A strong advocate for creative writing and storytelling, Anhvu has published student works and fostered collaborations among educators. Education includes a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of the Pacific, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech.
