Jan Lindenthal is an accomplished professional in housing development and urban planning, currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer at the San Francisco Housing Accelerator Fund since September 2022. Prior experience includes over 13 years as Chief Real Estate Development Officer at MidPen Housing, where management of a 50+ member Development team led to oversight of more than 4,000 housing units across multiple counties, including Monterey, Napa, Sonoma, and Silicon Valley. Previous roles include Vice President at South County Housing Corporation, Housing Development Officer at the Housing Authority of the County of Santa Clara, Principal Planner at the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, and Community Organizer at Utica NHS. Jan Lindenthal holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and Creative Writing from Hamilton College.

The Housing Accelerator Fund (the HAF) is an innovative nonprofit lender and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Established in 2017 by the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, we create public-private partnerships and leverage private, philanthropic, and public capital to stem displacement of low-income and working families and accelerate the production of new affordable housing across the Bay Area.
