Amanda Eaken

Amanda Eaken currently serves as a Principal Strategist at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency since October 2018 and holds multiple leadership roles including Chair, Vice Chair, and Director on the Board of Directors. Eaken is also a Board Member at the North of Panhandle Neighborhood Organization since March 2024. Previously, Eaken worked at the Natural Resources Defense Council from June 2007 to October 2023, where roles included Director of Transportation and Co-Director of Bloomberg Philanthropies' American Cities Climate Challenge. Additionally, Eaken held the position of Transportation Equity Leader-in-Residence at the Othering & Belonging Institute at UC Berkeley from April 2022 to September 2023. Eaken holds a Master of City Planning degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College. Educational background includes attending The Brearley School from 1982 to 1995.
