Nancy J. Arms Simon is an experienced collections manager at SFMOMA, specializing in art documentation and administration since November 2015. Previously held roles include Assistant Registrar for Loans Out and Shipping and Receiving Registrar, where collaborations with various departments streamlined art handling and documentation processes. Nancy's expertise extends to academia, serving as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Group Member for San Francisco State University and a lecturer in museum studies. With a strong foundation in visual arts and museum practices, Nancy has contributed to numerous exhibitions, managed special collections, and developed best practices for art storage and packing. Educational qualifications include an MA in Museum Studies and a BFA in Visual Art from San Francisco State University, along with a BA in German Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
