Carrie-Ann Matheson

Carrie-Ann Matheson is an accomplished musician and artistic leader currently serving as the Artistic Director of the San Francisco Opera Center and Merola Opera since January 2021. With extensive experience in the opera industry, Carrie-Ann held the positions of Conductor, Pianist, and Vocal Coach at Opernhaus Zürich from September 2014 to July 2020, and as Assistant Conductor, Pianist, and Vocal Coach at the Metropolitan Opera from September 2000 to May 2015. Educationally, Carrie-Ann is a Certified Ontological Coach from Accomplishment Coaching and holds degrees in Collaborative Piano from the Manhattan School of Music and Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Prince Edward Island.
