Valerie Crane Dorfman

Valerie Crane Dorfman has extensive experience in leadership and board governance, currently serving as Chair of the Directors & Officers Committee and Board Member at the San Francisco Opera since August 2020. Dorfman has been a Trustee at Grace Cathedral since January 1999, holding various leadership roles including Chair of the Development Committee and the Social Justice Committee. Additionally, Dorfman contributed to the Episcopal Community Services Board from July 2011 to July 2012 and was a Board Member at Bayview Hunter's Point YMCA from January 2000 to 2005, focusing on program development and fundraising. Prior to these roles, Dorfman had a notable career at Bank of America from 1979 to 1998, where the position of Executive Vice President was held. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego.
