Mike Fernandez has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Mike currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the San Francisco Public Library since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) as the Project Controls & Support Manager from May 2017 to April 2022.

Mike Fernandez received their BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999-2003. Mike pursued a major in Cognitive Science, with a focus on Cognitive Psychology and Computational Modeling. Additionally, they had a minor in Public Policy. Later on, from 2005-2007, Mike Fernandez attended the University of Southern California, where they obtained their Master's degree in Public Policy.
