Daniel G. Smith

Daniel G. Smith is an accomplished bassist with extensive experience in various prestigious orchestras and music festivals. Current positions include Associate Principal Bass at San Francisco Symphony since September 2017 and Substitute Bass at Los Angeles Philharmonic since December 2016. Previous roles encompass Principal Bass at Santa Barbara Symphony and Section Bass at San Diego Symphony, among others. Daniel participated in the Pacific Music Festival as a Contrabass and performed with Tim Timmons Music as a bassist, contributing skills in bass, keys, and vocals. Educationally, Daniel holds a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from Rice University, completed in 2013.
