Peter Grunberg

Peter Grunberg is an accomplished pianist, conductor, lecturer, and consultant, with a prominent tenure at the San Francisco Symphony since 1999, serving as Special Musical Assistant to music director Michael Tilson Thomas until 2020. Grunberg's diverse experience includes freelance performances as a solo pianist and conductor with various prestigious orchestras, including the Grand Théâtre de Genève and San Francisco Opera, and collaborations with renowned singers. Additionally, Grunberg has been a conductor and master coach for the Merola Opera Program and has held teaching positions at institutions such as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and UCLA. Grunberg's educational background includes studies at the University of Cambridge and Sydney Grammar School.
