Melissa Amato, MBA, CMP is a highly experienced professional with a background in hospitality, tourism, and event management. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Global Events at the San Francisco Travel Association, Melissa has previously held roles such as Director of Business Development at Gateway Global and Director of Marketing at Scoma's Restaurant. With a strong educational foundation including an MBA in Food and Wine from Bologna Business School and a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from San Francisco State University, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role in event management.

The San Francisco Travel Association is an independent, not-for-profit destination marketing organization with more than 1,500 business members. Its mission is to enhance the local economy by marketing San Francisco and the Bay Area as the premier destination for conventions, meetings, events and leisure travel. To accomplish this goal, the San Francisco Travel Association courts a highly qualified list of national, regional and state meeting planners; domestic and international tour packagers, wholesalers, operators and travel agents; leisure travelers; and local, national and international media.
