Alec Perkins is CEO and portfolio manager at Hunter Capital Management, a value-oriented investment firm he co-founded in 2020. Prior to Hunter Capital, Alec worked for 20 years as portfolio manager and analyst at Janus Henderson where he was responsible for co-managing the Select Value, All Cap Value and Value Plus Income strategies. Prior to Janus, he worked at Robertson Stephens. Alec has also been involved in a variety of non-profit activities including serving on the School Site Council at Thurgood Marshall, a college preparatory high school in San Francisco. Alec also served as Vice-Chair and Investment Committee member at Town School, as a member of Full Circle Fund, and served as Board Chair of Tipping Point Community. He received his BA degree from Middlebury College, an MA from Stanford University’s School of Education and an MBA from the University of California, Haas School of Business. Alec is married with two children and lives in San Francisco.
