Debra Clarke

Eye Care Technology - Program Director at San Jacinto College

Debra Clarke has a strong background in eye care technology and ophthalmic work. Debra started their career in 1982 as an Ophthalmic Technician at Ophthalmology Associates, where they worked for four years. In 1986, they joined Mann Eye Institute and Laser Center as a Biometrist, where they stayed for nine years. During this time, they gained expertise in LASIK coordination. In 1995, they transitioned to San Jacinto College, where they held two roles: Ophthalmic Technician/LASIK Coordinator and eventually became the Program Director for Eye Care Technology. Debra Clarke's work experience demonstrates their dedication to the field and their ability to take on leadership positions.

Debra Clarke studied at Coastal Bend College from 1978 to 1980, where they obtained an AS degree in Secondary Education. Additionally, they attended the University of Houston with a focus on Speech & Theater and Secondary Education.

Debra Clarke holds various certifications, including Certified Contact Lens Technician from the National Contact Lens Examiners, Certified Ophthalmic Technician from JCAHPO, Certified Optician from the American Board of Opticians, and Ophthalmic Scribe Certified from JCAHPO.
