Jonelle Walker

Jonelle Walker, PhD, is a Professor and Program Coordinator for the Theatre & Film program at San Jacinto College since October 2022, where responsibilities include managing theatre productions and special projects. Walker has been a Company Member at Rorschach Theatre since September 2015, contributing to fundraising and marketing efforts. Previous experience includes serving as a Lecturer at the University of Maryland and co-hosting the RomCom Killjoys podcast, blending feminist cultural criticism with discussions of romantic comedies. Walker's background also includes roles as a Theatre Writer for Washington City Paper and Gothamist.com, founding Blind Pug Arts Collective, and working in corporate and institutional giving at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies, a Master’s in Theatre History and Performance Studies, and a BA in Literature and Theatre Arts from the University of Maryland and American University.
