Rachel Gaither

Rachel Gaither is an accomplished library professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple libraries. Currently serving as a Senior Librarian at San Jose Public Library since July 2019, Rachel previously held similar senior librarian positions at PACIFIC GROVE PUBLIC LIBRARY and Merced County Library, where responsibilities included managing renovations, supervising staff, and enhancing customer service. Earlier career roles included Library Director at Town of Salem and Reference Librarian positions at Fairfield Public Library and Bridgeport Public Library. Educational qualifications include an MBA and MLIS from Dominican University, complemented by a BA in Management from Saint Mary's College of California. Throughout their career, Rachel Gaither has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement, staff development, and innovative library services.
