Gianfranco Tornatore

Gianfranco Tornatore currently serves as Director of TK-12 Schools and Director of Continuous Improvement & Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) at San Juan Unified School District since July 2016, and also holds a faculty position at the Leadership Institute with the Sacramento County Office of Education since August 2019. Prior experience includes roles as an Education Administrator and School Improvement Specialist as well as a Classroom Teacher, Department Chair, Grade Team Leader, and Instructional Coach within the NYC Department of Education from July 2006 to June 2016. Additionally, Gianfranco served as a Student Teacher Supervisor at Teachers College, Columbia University from September 2007 to June 2015. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master of Science in Education (M.S.E) in Education Administration and Supervision from Fordham University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music Performance and Business Management from Berklee College of Music.
