Paul Cassidy has an extensive and diverse work experience. Paul began their career at Harvard University, where they worked as a Laboratory Manager from June 2000 to July 2005, and later as an Administrative Manager from July 2005 to October 2006. Paul then moved on to Columbia Business School, where they served as Business Manager from March 2007 to July 2008. After that, they joined Columbia University School of Engineering & Applied Science as an Associate Director of Finance & Administration from November 2008 to January 2012. Paul also worked at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, where they held two roles: Director of Financial & Strategic Resource Planning from January 2012 to November 2012 and Executive Director (Assistant Dean) of Medical Education Finance & Administration from November 2012 to June 2015. Paul then took on the position of Chief Financial Officer in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF from June 2015 to December 2016. Paul subsequently worked as the Director of Finance at Dignity Health from June 2017 to December 2017. Paul'smost recent role is as the Manager of Finance and Operations at San Mateo County Community College District, where they started in April 2018.

Paul Cassidy received their High School Diploma from La Salle College High School. Following that, they pursued a BA in Social Science/Economics from Harvard University Extension School. Later, they attended Columbia Business School and obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree. Paul continued their education at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Major Programme Management.

San Mateo County Community College District

The District was established in 1922, and operates three Colleges: Cañada College, College of San Mateo and Skyline College. Located between San Francisco and Silicon Valley, the District Colleges provide community college educational services to residents of the County of San Mateo, California. Combined, the three Colleges of the District serve approximately 45,000 students annually and offer the first two years of college-level instruction in a wide variety of transfer programs as well as more than 90 vocational-technical programs. Students can earn either Associate in Arts or Science degrees or receive Certificates of Proficiency in their chosen fields. Distance education courses are available at all three Colleges as well as courses and programs serving concurrently enrolled students. Noncredit, short courses are offered for a fee through the Community Education Program.
