David Santoro

David Santoro is an experienced transportation executive currently serving as the Deputy General Manager and Chief Executive Officer at San Mateo County Transit District since September 2021. Santoro has a diverse background in transit operations, having held various leadership roles at New York City Transit from July 2018 to September 2021, including Executive Vice President of Strategy & Customer Environment (Acting) and Chief Officer of Stations Environment & Operations. Prior to that, Santoro spent over two decades at Union Pacific Railroad, where responsibilities included managing terminal operations and serving as an instructor for safety and operational rules. Santoro holds an educational background from Western Governors University.
