Lisa Reed has a diverse work experience in the field of education and special education. Lisa currently works as a Special Education Teacher at San Mateo Union High School District since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sequoia Union High School District from 2016 to 2022, where they held roles as a Program Specialist and Teacher for the TRACE Adult Transition Program. Lisa received the 2017 Kent Award from the SMCSBA during this time. Before joining Sequoia Union, Lisa worked at San Mateo County Office of Education from 2002 to 2016, where they served as a Special Day Class Teacher and took on additional responsibilities of a Head Teacher, including staff training, graduation coordination, and program development. Lisa Reed earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in social welfare and sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1995 and 1999. Lisa then pursued a Masters of Education degree in Special Education- mod/severe at Notre Dame de Namur University, which they completed from 2005 to 2008. Lisa also obtained an Administrative Credential from California State University - East Bay, specializing in Education and Leadership. Additionally, they hold a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential from the same institution, focusing on Educational Leadership and Administration, General.
