Edward Rebar

Edward Rebar's work experience includes serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. since March 2020. Prior to that, they held various roles at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc., including Chief Technology Officer from July 2018 to March 2020, Vice President of Technology from 2011 to July 2018, and Senior Director of Technology from 2004 to 2007. Edward also worked as a Director and Team Leader of Therapeutic Gene Regulation from 2001 to 2004, and as a Scientist from 1998 to 2001. Edward began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from 1997 to 1998.

Edward Rebar obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry from Rutgers University (Cook campus) in 1989. Edward then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biophysics and Structural Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing it in 1997.
