David Sherman, MD FASAM

David Sherman, MD FASAM has a diverse work experience in the field of addiction medicine. David currently serves as the Medical Director at Sana Lake Recovery Center since October 2019. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Wellness Treasure starting from June 2018. David also worked as a Medical Director at Rockland Treatment Center from August 2018 to August 2019. David Sherman, MD FASAM completed their education in a sequential manner. David began their education by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, General from Westminster College in 1982. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Medicine, which they completed in 1988.

After earning their MD, Dr. Sherman proceeded to the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. From 1988 to 1991, they completed a flexible internship and general surgery program. Following this, they pursued an Otolaryngology Residency Program, which they finished in 1995.

In 2014, Dr. Sherman enrolled in the Addiction Medicine Fellowship program at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where they completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Addiction Medicine in 2016. Dr. Sherman also obtained Addiction Medicine Board Certification from the American Board of Preventive Medicine in January 2018.

Furthermore, in 2016, they participated in the Age Management Medicine Education Fellowship (AMMEF) at an unspecified institution, specializing in Age Management Medicine. Additionally, from 2016 to 2020, Dr. Sherman completed a Fellowship in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine from A4M.
