Ron Basak-Smith

Ron Basak-Smith is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sana Packaging. Ron has extensive experience in the retail industry, having served as a manager at West Vail Liquor Mart for four years. During their time at West Vail Liquor Mart, Ron initiated new sustainability practices that received recognition from the Town of Vail as the first retail store to be certified as Actively Green. Ron also started a successful social media and advertising campaign with 500 followers. Prior to their work in the retail industry, Ron was a social work intern at Brooklyn Family Defense Practice and a teaching assistant for Introduction to Sociology at Ithaca College. Ron also has experience in the energy sector, having worked as an Energy Programs Associate at EnergySmart Colorado. Ron is dedicated to sustainable practices and has a passion for helping others.

Ron Basak-Smith earned their MBA in Entrepreneurship, Finance & Sustainability from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Ithaca College.
