Andrea Conver, PMP has worked in a variety of roles since 2003. Andrea began their career as an Engineer II at King County, WA, where they provided technical support, including map interpretation, to surveyors and landowners. In 2005, they joined URS Corporation, An AECOM Company, as a GIS Specialist, where they worked with an engineering team and utilized aerial imagery to create a wind water line for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In 2006, they joined Wyle as a GIS Specialist and Task Lead, where they served as Task Lead on NOAA's Sea, Lake, and Overland Surges from Hurricanes (SLOSH) project. In 2008, they became an Administrative Fellow at International Justice Mission, where they supported technical and recruiting needs of all departments for an office of 40+. In 2010, they joined Wachs Water Services as an Information Analyst, where they performed QA/QC using ArcGIS 9.X on data gathered by field crews. In 2012, they joined Sanametrix, Inc. as Deputy Director of Operations and GIS Manager, where they supported the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Education Demographic and Geographic Estimates (EDGE) program through the development of GIS applications, data distribution through Esri's Open Data and Data.gov, and technical user support. Andrea also managed all aspects of the team and schedule, as well as the creation of story maps for multiple ED programs.
Andrea Conver, PMP, has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Washington, obtained in 2004. In 2014, they obtained their GISP certification from the GIS Certification Institute. In 2015, they obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. In 2021, they obtained their CMMI Associate certification from CMMI. Finally, in 2022, they obtained their ITIL Foundation Level certification from PeopleCert.
