Thomas Mertz, PMP

Thomas Mertz, PMP, has extensive work experience in project management and technical management. Thomas started their career at Spencer's as an Assistant Store Manager in 2004 and then moved on to GameStop, where they served as a Store Manager from 2005 to 2009. At GameStop, they managed a staff of 10 employees and demonstrated excellent performance in sales, trade comps, and overall company rankings.

In 2009, Thomas joined IBEW 26 Federal Credit Union as an Operations Supervisor. In this role, they oversaw daily credit union operations, managed a team of 7 employees, and ensured compliance with NCUA regulations and other industry standards. Thomas also handled staff training and loan processing, prepared reports, and maintained general ledgers for auditing purposes.

Since 2018, Thomas has been working at Sanametrix, Inc. In their current position as a Project Manager, they have gained experience in product development, product deployment, and process improvement. Thomas has successfully implemented effective strategies for resource and communication management, documentation, and achieved project objectives. Thomas' skill set includes process improvement, compliance management, agile/waterfall development life cycle, application development, project management, and product implementation and training.

Thomas Mertz, PMP, has a strong educational background in the field of accounting. In 2009, they obtained their Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Accounting from Prince George's Community College. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland University College and completed it in 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Thomas Mertz has also obtained two certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Thomas achieved this certification in September 2021, further enhancing their skills and qualifications in project management.
