Barret Cole

Barret is largely responsible for the overall financial, organizational and operational wellbeing of the firm, while also keeping a hand in the technical side of the business as a senior practitioner.

As one of Sanborn Head’s first employees, Barret’s personal growth has paralleled the growth of the firm, and he is motivated to create new opportunities for their people that will ensure a successful future for the firm.

By education and experience, Barret is a contaminant hydrogeologist with skill in the interpretation of chemical and hydrogeologic data, identification of contaminant source areas, and modeling of hydrogeologic systems and contaminant fate and transport processes. He enjoys using science to develop strategies that help their clients achieve their project and business goals. Barret is a graduate of Amherst College, and he earned a master’s degree in hydrology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

Barret will tell you that his favorite part of the job is the variety and the challenge associated with solving complicated problems for the firm and its clients. He’s continually inspired by seeing the company culture in action: people collaborating in the interest of the greater good, helping one another succeed, and learning and growing in their careers.
