Karla Mayne

GIS Analyst III/Team Leader - BLM Wildlife Habitat Spatial Analysis Lab at Sanborn

Karla Mayne has extensive experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Karla worked for The Sanborn Map Company, Inc. from 2012, where they served as a GIS Analyst III/Team Leader for the BLM Wildlife Habitat Spatial Analysis Lab. Karla'sresponsibilities included providing GIS support, implementing quality control procedures, conducting complex analyses and modeling, and managing project databases.

Prior to that, Karla worked for Harris Corporation from 2010 to 2012 as a GIS Analyst, where they played a significant role in supporting the BLM's National Sage-grouse Conservation effort through data processing, analysis, and map production. Karla also designed and maintained Python scripts for project automation.

From 2005 to 2008, Karla worked for ARCADIS as a Staff Archaeologist, Cultural Resources GIS Analyst, Environmental Inspector, and FERC Compliance officer. Karla'stasks included evaluating archaeological sites, conducting cultural resource management surveys, and completing project technical reports.

Karla also gained experience as an Archaeology Field and Lab Technician at Centennial Archaeology, Inc. from April to October 2005. Karla participated in several Class III mitigation projects, conducted surveys and excavations, and performed lab work.

In addition, Karla worked as a GIS Coordinator for Neighborhood Study Projects in the Urban Renewal Department of the City of Greeley from 2004 to 2005. Karla'sresponsibilities included managing geodatabases, training interns, and implementing procedures to improve data capture efficiency.

Lastly, Karla worked for TechniGraphics, Inc. from 2001 to 2003 as a Team Leader for cemeteries mapping projects. Karla was responsible for client communication, software development, and ensuring the quality and organization of the final products.

Karla Mayne has a strong background in anthropology, archaeology, and other related fields. Karla obtained a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, and Equine Science from Colorado State University, attending from 1995 to 1999. In order to further specialize in their field, they pursued a Master's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, and GIS from the same institution, completing it from 1999 to 2002.
