Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions and educational devices. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has contributed to the hardware development of DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational accessories, previously serving as a firmware engineer in the same role. Prior experience includes working as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for forestry machinery. Chris also has teaching experience from the University of Calgary, assisting with student labs and evaluations. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
