Designer at Sanctuary Clothing

Denise Hartman has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Denise began their career as an Intern at Showroom Bliss in 2011. Denise then volunteered at StyleChicago.com for a short period. In 2013, Denise volunteered at Style Fashion Week where they managed guest visits for the media. Denise continued their education by working as a Design Intern at Trina Turk in 2015. From 2010 to 2019, they worked at DHLA as a Fashion Designer, creating original clothing lines and selling them online and locally. In 2018, they joined Brian Linchtenberg as an Assistant Designer. Their most recent position is at Sanctuary Clothing, where they have held various roles including Assistant Woven Tops Designer, Assistant Modern Suiting Designer, Assistant to Chief Creative Officer, Associate Knits and Sweaters Designer, and currently as a Designer. In these roles, they have been responsible for tasks such as sketching, fabric sourcing, creating CADs and tech packs, and collaborating with overseas factories. Denise has also worked on creating mood boards, color stories, and managing the design process for the company's website.

Denise Hartman attended Michigan State University from 2005 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Apparel & Textile Design.
