Ryan Henry

Ryan Henry has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Ryan is currently a Partner at Sand Hill North Inc. since January 2021. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2021, they served as the Co-Founder and CTO at Wisely. At FreshBooks, Ryan held the role of Sr Director of Development from 2014 to 2018, where they were responsible for scaling the business, driving innovation, and managing change. Before that, they worked at Fuel Industries as a Technical Director from 2012 to 2014, where they ensured the competitiveness of customer-facing products and oversaw software architecture. Ryan was the Director of Engineering at Magmic Inc. from 2010 to 2012, where they led and mentored software engineering teams and built efficient teams through recruitment and career development. Ryan also had previous roles at Magmic Inc. as a Development Lead from 2009 to 2010 and as a Platform Developer from 2008 to 2008. Additionally, Ryan worked as a Software Developer at Flightscape from 2007 to 2008 and as a Junior Software Engineer at Sciemetric Instruments from 2005 to 2007.

Ryan Henry began their education in 2003 at the University of Toronto - University College, where they studied Computer Science for one year. In 2005, they transferred to Carleton University and completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering in 2008. Additionally, Ryan obtained a certification in Level III of the CFA Program from the CFA Institute in 2015.
