Katherine McCarthy is a skilled professional with a background in customer service and event coordination. Currently serving as a Group Coordinator and Golf Administrator at Sand Valley since May 2021, Katherine previously held roles at Drake University from September 2017 to May 2021 as a Student Supervisor and Customer Service Assistant, where exceptional service was provided through The Knapp Center Ticket Office. Additional experience includes serving as a Wedding Assistant at ByBarbara Events and completing a Consumer Public Relations Internship at Zeno Group. Katherine also interned at Barnacle Coasters, focusing on social media marketing and branding concepts. Katherine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in Leadership from Drake University in 2021.
Sand Valley
Sand Valley is a four-season resort destination set among the tumbling prehistoric sand dunes of Central Wisconsin. Founded in 2016 by brothers Michael and Chris Keiser, the resort gives guests a flavor of the region through farm-to-table culinary experiences, year-round outdoor adventures, such as fat-tire biking, hiking and fishing, unrivaled grass court tennis, and one of the very best golf experiences in the Midwest. Sand Valley delivers golf as it was meant to be where players walk, and the courses play firm and fast. The golf experience features three distinct, award-winning designs that are extremely fun to play: Sand Valley, an 18-hole design by Coore & Crenshaw, Mammoth Dunes, an 18-hole design by David McLay Kidd, and The Sandbox, a 17-hole, par-3 course by Coore & Crenshaw. The courses were modeled after the heathland golf courses of London and showcase massive, 80-foot exposed sand dunes. Three restaurants, Craig's Porch at Sand Valley, the Mammoth Bar, and Aldo's Farm & Table, currently serve guests throughout the property, and there is more to come 2023.
