Kirak Hong

Kirak Hong is a skilled software engineer and technology leader with extensive experience in data analysis and AI integration. Currently serving as the Cofounder and CTO of Sandbar since September 2023, Kirak is focused on enhancing the interaction between humans and AI. Prior to this role, Kirak held several positions at Meta from November 2019 to June 2023, including Technical Lead Manager and Software Engineer, where significant contributions were made to a component-based stream analysis platform. Kirak also worked at CTRL-labs as Lead Software Engineer, creating platforms that bridged early research and production processes. Experience at Google included developing a unified big data analysis framework and working on scalability improvements, alongside previous internships in various tech roles. Kirak holds a PhD in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Computer Science from Yonsei University.
