Dan Phillips

Dan Phillips is a Partner at Sandbox Industries since May 2011, focusing on investments in technologies that enhance human livelihood and transform sectors such as healthcare, insurance, financial services, and sustainable agriculture. In January 2024, Dan became the Managing Director of The Blue Venture Fund, which mobilizes $900 million from Blue Cross Blue Shield companies to support emerging companies relevant to their strategic goals. Additionally, Dan serves as Managing Director at Cultivian Sandbox Ventures and holds multiple board member positions, including roles at Fort Health, Smart Data Solutions, Debut Biotech, Culture Biosciences, Geltor Inc., and previously at Full Harvest Technologies. Dan Phillips earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan.
