Dale Burgess

Dale Burgess is an experienced mining executive currently serving as the Executive Head of Country at Sandfire Resources since July 2021. Prior to this role, Dale held the position of General Manager at Avenue Nickel Mine with Dundas Mining Pty Ltd from September 2020 to July 2021. A significant tenure at Barrick Gold Corporation spanned from January 2015 to September 2020, where Dale served in various capacities including Operations Manager at Pueblo Viejo and General Manager Operations, Manager Mining, and Underground Manager at Porgera Gold Mine. Dale's career began with a role as General Manager at Besra from May 2012 to December 2013 and as Manager Mining at CopperChem Limited from May 2011 to May 2012. Dale is an alumnus of the University of Ballarat.
