Lead IP Litigation Counsel at Sandoz

Katie Rooth has extensive experience in the legal field, specializing in intellectual property (IP) litigation. Katie currently holds the position of Lead IP Litigation Counsel at Sandoz, a role they began in June 2020. Prior to this, Katie worked at Bristows Law Firm for a decade, starting in 2010. During their time at Bristows, they held various roles, including Senior Associate and Associate in Intellectual Property Litigation. Katie provided legal advice on contentious IP matters, with a focus on the Life Sciences sector. Katie'sbackground in biomedical sciences equipped their with strong technical knowledge in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Katie also gained valuable experience as a Trainee Solicitor, gaining exposure to various legal areas such as IP, commercial disputes, regulatory, and real estate.

Katie Rooth completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences from Newcastle University from 2005-2008. Katie then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in IP Law and Practice with a focus on Intellectual Property Law from the University of Oxford from 2013-2014. Prior to their university education, they attended St John's School, Leatherhead from 2002-2004, and King Edward's School from 1997-2002.
