Aagam Shah

Aagam Shah, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Associate at Sands Capital since August 2022, previously holding the position of Associate. Prior experience includes working as an Investment Analyst at OCCIDENT from January 2021 to March 2022, specializing in early-stage life sciences venture investing. Aagam completed a Doctoral program at ETH Zurich from 2014 to 2020, focusing on targeted and non-invasive drug delivery techniques for neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders. Prior roles also include Research Support Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where Aagam developed high-throughput screening systems, and Graduate Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins University, responsible for building automated microscopy systems. Educational qualifications include a PhD from ETH Zurich, a Master of Science & Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
