Sydney Wright-Schaner

Sydney Wright-Schaner currently serves as Legal Counsel at Sands Capital, beginning in January 2024. Previously, Sydney held an associate position at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from March 2020 to January 2024 and at Foley & Lardner LLP from October 2017 to March 2020, where Sydney also worked as a summer associate in 2016. Sydney's early legal experience includes a role as a Research Assistant for Professor Steven Goldblatt at Georgetown University Law Center in 2015-2016 and as a paralegal at Schaner & Lubitz, PLLC from 2012 to 2014. Sydney's initial professional experiences include communications internships at Global Impact and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Sydney earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2017 and a B.A. in Creative Writing from Hamilton College in 2013, with additional studies as a visiting student in Literature at the University of Oxford in 2012.
