Carolyn Bray has extensive experience in fundraising and community engagement, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Income and Engagement at Sands, a charity focused on stillbirth and neonatal death, since October 2002. In this role, Carolyn manages the Fundraising & Events Team and leads initiatives such as the In Memoriam program and the annual Awareness Month, while also overseeing the donor journey experience and department budget. Carolyn played a key role in creating Baby Loss Awareness Week in the UK in 2002, fostering collaboration among over 20 charities. Additionally, since September 2010, Carolyn has been a community volunteer with the Rugby Football Union, where responsibilities include team management, event organization, and serving on the club committee. Previous experience includes running a self-employed tree surgery business and holding positions in estate agency and accounting, demonstrating a well-rounded professional background. Educational qualifications include studies at Oaklands College and Roundwood Park.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, was founded in 1978 by a small group of bereaved parents, and parents and families remain at the core of everything we do. Sands operates throughout the UK and its purpose is: - To support anyone affected by the death of a baby - Work in partnership with healthcare professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care - To promote improvements in practice and fund research to help reduce the number of babies dying We depend on the extraordinary energies of our supporters to raise the vital funds that we need to deliver the wide range of services that we offer.
