Cherrie Chavarria

Cherrie Chavarria has extensive experience as a sign language interpreter and educator, currently serving in dual roles at Sandusky City Schools and Terra State Community College since August 2019 and 2017, respectively. Cherrie's background includes positions as a job coach and ASL/English interpreter at Goodwill Industries of Erie, Huron, Ottawa, and Sandusky Counties from April 2018 to March 2022, as well as an educational aide at Rachael Wixey and Associates from October 2017 to March 2022. Prior experience also includes interpreting at Kent State University between August 2016 and March 2022, and educational aide duties with Renhill Companies from May 2014 to June 2016. Cherrie Chavarria holds a Bachelor of Science in American Sign Language Interpreting for the Deaf from Kent State University and an Associate's degree in American Sign Language from Terra State Community College.
