Kimmo Valo

Kimmo Valo graduated from Turku University of Applied Sciences in 2006 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology. They have worked with Li-Ion batteries since graduation and currently serve as Product Line Manager and Test Laboratory Manager at Sandvik, starting in 2023. Prior to Sandvik, Kimmo held various specialist and engineering roles at companies including Microsoft and Nokia, and co-founded Akkurate Oy, serving as COO. Passionate about continuous learning, they enjoy reading, woodworking, fast cars, and cooking in their free time while managing the responsibilities of being a part-time parent to three teenagers.
