Simo Turunen is an experienced quality management professional with a robust background in the mining and construction industry. Currently serving as R&D Quality Manager at Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy since June 2008, Simo has also held roles as Quality Project Manager and Localization Quality Manager within the company. Prior to this, Simo worked at Hervannan Koneistus Oy from August 2003 to May 2008 as Chief Quality Engineer, Quality Planner, and Quality Technician. Simo began professional endeavors as a founder member and Technical Manager at Zeebra Oy, an industrial design and ceramic company, from December 1984 to April 2003. Additionally, Simo was a freelance photographer from July 1981 to November 1984. Simo completed education at the Arts and Design School in Kuopio, Finland, between 1978 and 1981.
